Privacy Policy

1. Data Protection & Technical Telemetry

MediaSaverPro is designed around strict privacy engineering principles. We document our actual application behavior to ensure complete transparency regarding data processing.

When you submit a URL for media inspection via POST /api/media/resolve, our server pipeline records an operational log entry containing:

SHA-256 Hashed IP Address (clientIpHash): We do not store un-hashed or raw IPv4/IPv6 addresses.
Platform Adapter: Platform classification (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube).
Resolution Status: Status indicator (SUCCESS, FAILED, or BLOCKED).
Execution Latency: Response time in milliseconds for performance tuning.

2. Cookies, Local Storage & Session Auth

We minimize cookie usage. Our application utilizes:

mediasaverpro_consent_preferences (localStorage): Stores your functional, analytics, and advertising consent preferences.

admin_session (Cookie): Restricted HTTP-only cookie used exclusively for authenticating administrator dashboard access.

3. Global Privacy Control (GPC) & Privacy Telemetry

MediaSaverPro automatically detects and respects the browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (navigator.globalPrivacyControl). When GPC is active or when analytics consent is denied, telemetry event tracking is automatically suppressed.

All tracked telemetry events pass through an automated URL sanitizer (sanitizeUrl) which strips query parameters (?token=...) to ensure authentication tokens or user parameters never leak into logs.

4. Affiliate Outbound Links & Click Fraud Prevention

When you click an outbound SaaS recommendation, the request is processed via /api/affiliate/redirect. Outbound links include search-engine compliant rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes. A SHA-256 hashed IP address and placement context are logged strictly for click fraud detection and partner reporting.
